Access FREE training, now through August 1, 2024, led by one of our skilled Apprentice Trainers! Choose from a list of 23 popular module topics and unlock valuable learning opportunities for your organization.

Our Apprentice Trainers are highly skilled facilitators who have successfully completed the intensive 3-day Training of Trainers program. By availing of this free training, you not only empower your team with high-quality training, but also support our Apprentice Trainers in meeting their certification requirements. Please note: all free trainings must take place on site (not virtually) and are subject to availability based on trainer locations.

Our Training

CalSAC’s work is driven by the needs of the out-of-school time professionals working in diverse communities throughout California. To inform our programs, we listen to the people on the ground working with youth every day and to the needs and priorities of communities.  CalSAC forges intentional and meaningful partnerships with leading education and philanthropic organizations to leverage resources and cutting-edge research and practices. We are sought out for our history of strong program design, far-reaching impact and collaborative spirit. Through these partnerships, CalSAC provides timely, relevant, free and low-cost trainings and services for out-of-school time professionals and programs.

CalSAC serves out-of-school time professionals at all levels - from line staff and practitioners to managers and program directors - serving programs of all types and sizes.  By accessing CalSAC's high-quality training, ongoing professional development and a network of professionals, staff and programs are equipped to succeed in bringing out the very best in the young people they serve. 

How it Works

Step 1: Browse Training Topics

Browse our full suite of training modules to find the topic that best meets your staff’s training needs. Our modules vary in length from 2-3 hours and cost ranges from $350 to $565 per 30 participants depending on the training topic.

Step 2: Submit Training Request

Submit your request on the CalSAC Training Portal. Select the day and time that works best for you staff. One of our local CalSAC Trainers will be notified of the request and connect with your prior to the training.

Step 3:Deliver Training

The local CalSAC Trainer will deliver the training to your staff team at the location that works best for your agency.
