Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

The Learning and Development Branch (LDB) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player who welcomes a challenge. Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent will evaluate and analyze Department training needs; develop e-learning content and strategies; develop new or revise existing course material; coordinate and conduct training using a variety of innovative methods; perform administrative work necessary to deliver specific training programs; provide consultative services to department program areas; review department training functions and processes with minimal supervision; and develop and present training programs.

Desirable qualifications: strong verbal presentation skills; interpersonal skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; experience in content development (eLearning); instructional methodology Learning Management Systems, and collaboration experience; able to analyze complex matters and isolate critical issues; and able to develop effective courses of action to solve problems, create new ideas, and develop new ways of thinking.

Non-Staff Services Analyst (General) (SSA) employment list candidates who are eligible to transfer to the SSA classification must pass the SSA transfer exam. Candidates from the Training and Experience Questionnaire relying upon a 4-year degree must submit a copy of their transcripts with their application.
